We Are
Younus
INSYNC Productions is the brainchild of Younus Salie. Younus started in the industry as a news video editor for E-TV, the only free to air television which broadcasts nationally in South Africa. It was here that he wet his feet in producing short programme inserts and fillers.
From there he worked for a small local production company before going independent which in essence gave birth to INSYNC Productions in 2004. Although an experienced video editor, cameraman, director, and having worked in many genres, Natural History is what he is most passionate about. He strongly believes that it is only through education, that humans will see the importance of environmental conservation and our role therein.
Favorite saying: Find it , embrace it, live it, … passion!
Faghrie
With a background in media studies and upon completion of his degree, Faghrie trained as a video editor. The ability to bring visual stories to life is what excites him. In his four years as a video editor he has worked on various projects including a broad spectrum of genres from religion and education to wildlife. He has shown great passion for this industry and has already expanded his repertoire of experience to include directing and camera operating.
Nazrene
Nazrene obtained her Bachelors degree at UCT, majoring in English & Psychology, but her keen interest in people led her to follow a different path. Having always shown an aptitude for writing she fused this skill with the visual medium and started out as researcher and assistant producer for Insync Productions. Through her involvement with our various productions she has grown tremendously and has recently conquered the challenge of series producer for our 13-part wildlife & environmental series called, Keepers of the Cape. She is now the in -house Producer of Insync Productions.
Quote: “do what you love and you’ll always love what you do”
Nadia
Nadia joined the Insync team in 2008 as a journalism intern. While not a newsroom environment, Nadia has been able to hone various skills required in her field as well as develop a keen understanding of the television production environment. She is driven by a strong social consciousness and a desire to effect change in the world by empowering people with information. Keep your eyes peeled for this future correspondent
Nurhaan
Nurhaan started out 3 years ago as an administrative assistant, but soon made it know that her actual ambition was to become a cameraperson. She has spent the past 2 years as a camera assistant and has gained valuable training by being exposed to technical, theoretical and practical aspects of camera work. Her passion for camera work is matched only by her fiery personality- when the two merge the visual outcome is spectacular.
